TODAY’S PROMISE
Today's Promise: It Will Surely Take Place
“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” — Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT)
There are seasons in our lives when it feels like we’re holding on to promises that seem to drift further and further away. You’ve prayed, you’ve fasted, you’ve obeyed — yet, the answer hasn’t arrived. The vision God gave you may now feel like a dream deferred.
But today, take courage in this: God’s delay is not His denial.
In Habakkuk 2:3, God speaks to the waiting heart — the weary dreamer, the silent intercessor, the visionary who sees glimpses of a future that looks nothing like their present. And He says: “Wait patiently.” Not because He’s testing your endurance for sport, but because every promise has an appointed time. There is a divine calendar at work. And when it’s time, nothing and no one can stop what God has already set in motion.
The wait is often the hardest part. But even in the silence, God is working — refining your character, preparing the people and places connected to your purpose, aligning circumstances in ways you can’t yet see.
What if the delay is actually God setting the stage for a bigger reveal? What if the vision requires you to grow into the version of yourself that can carry it well?
So today, choose to trust again. Revisit the vision. Dust off the dream. Reignite your hope. God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind (Numbers 23:19). If He said it, He will do it.
Even if it seems slow, it will surely come. Not one second too early. Not one minute too late.
Today’s Promise: The vision will be fulfilled. Hold on, wait well, and keep your eyes on God. The promise still stands.
